I can't express how much I would recommend The Heathcote! As a very nervous person when it comes to... the dentist, I have never felt more comfortable. I spent years neglecting my teeth due to how scared I am of the dentist but honestly I couldn't think of anywhere else I would of rather gone to! I had the pleasure of being treated by Abd & Tayla on my first visit for my extractions where I was sedated and the work was carried out was so quick. Followed by 2 more visits with Claire for my hygienist visits who was very supportive and amazing. My last visit was with Abd & Tayla again for my composite filling's across my upper front teeth and I was so comfortable & relaxed for the whole duration. I honestly haven't stopped smiling since having them done. Abd is a master of his industry and I can't thank everyone at Heathcote enough for all the help, support and time to fix my teeth!read more

Great Dentist, I had a chipped tooth, no idea if I needed a filling or some grinding and shaping, I... sent an email asking for an appointment, had an instant response from Julie on reception and an appointment only 20mins later. Brilliant dental practice, my son was under Mr M Mudassar Akhtar and he was absolutely fantastic. ... He put my son at ease, he explained his treatment thoroughly to him. All I can say is that Mudassar Akhtar is the person to go to if you need an extraction. His... expertise and professional skill was first class. I was an extremely nervous patient after a very traumatic extraction only 5 weeks earlier( at a different dentist practice I hasten to add). He and his dental nurse Hayley put me at ease, and what I had been told elsewhere was a difficult extraction was of no consequence to Mudassar. The tooth was out in little more than 5 mins. I was relieved and very grateful. I cannot recommend this dental surgeon enough. Hayley was extremely kind and thoughtful as she distracted me with social chit chat. Thank you both.read more

I recently visited Heathcote dental practice for root canal treatment. My dentist was Mudassar... Akhtar. Mudassar is a fantastic dentist who was friendly, reassuring and explained everything he was doing before and during the treatment. It was a very tricky root canal. My previous dentist at another surgery failed to complete it but Mudassar worked his magic and was successful. Thank you very much. I have just had my first filling done with my new Dentist Abd Kouzali, The new owner of The... Heathcote Dental Practice. I previously had Mr Heathcote so was quite anxious about the change of Dentist. Abd made my treatment feel very relaxed, l felt comfortable throughout my treatment which involved an anesthetic and a very large filling. After developing a painful tooth over the weekend, I desperately needed a solid opinion on what to... do with it. I have not visited a dentist for 4 years but they managed to somehow squeeze me in to what seemed to be an already busy schedule the very next day because of my pain. Emails were responded to quickly and the reception staff had time to give me some brief advice even though I visited right at closing time.I had an appointment with Richard Heathcote who logically problem solved his way to the heart of the issue due to my pain being very misleading and counter-intuitive. Once the problem was identified, I was given the options and consequences clearly and lots of help making my decision on the next steps. All the complex X-Rays and other technical jargon was broken down into simple terms that even a child could understand and we went into lots of detail and analysis. All the worst-case scenarios were covered and safety protocols followed exactly.In the end, unfortunately I had to lose a tooth but was fully educated throughout and involved in the journey to the conclusion, which was customer service straight out of a textbook. I had some emotional attachment to keeping the tooth but the overwhelming case presented to me helped me look at the hard facts and chose the right path for the greater good of my mouth.The tooth was examined briefly to show me what exactly had happened and all questions answered. The appointment overran a little but I wasn't rushed out and dizziness was treated properly before I was allowed to leave for my own safety.Finally, after the treatment, all the necessary recovery advice was explained clearly and printed out for me.On a personal level, everyone was professional, friendly & genuine.From start to finish, there really isn't anything I could improve or fault.I was fortunate enough to get NHS treatment but was willing to pay almost any price to get a simple appointment. Upon contacting two other recommended practices in a panic, I was treated like a nuisance & found them to be very dismissive and unsympathetic with no advice phone-lines given or guidelines on how to solve the problem or where else to go. Other practices in the area could learn a lot from how Heathcote operate.read more
